Series of drawings made from multiple photographic references. Through free association I relate concepts and images where I propose to the reader different and non-literal meanings of words of conventional use.

I am interested in realistic drawing because it bears a relationship with photography and the trust that has traditionally been placed in it in terms of showing reality. However, despite the photographic and printing source, the drawings reveal a gesture that refers directly to manipulation.

Both photography and writing are means that culture has used to convey a manipulated discourse that tries to tell the truth. With this dictionary I reflect on the separation and encounter between subjective and cultural interpretation of images, the transitory value of truth and the relationship between words and images as elements that trigger meanings

Serie de dibujos elaborada a partir de múltiples referentes fotográficos. Por medio de la asociación libre uno conceptos e imágenes en donde propongo al lector significados diferentes y no literales de palabras de uso convencional.

Me interesa el dibujo realista porque guarda una relación con la fotografía y la confianza que tradicionalmente se ha depositado en ella en cuanto a evidenciar la realidad. Sin embargo, a pesar de la fuente fotográfica y de imprenta, los dibujos delatan un gesto que remite directamente a la manipulación.

Tanto la fotografía como la escritura son medios que ha utilizado la cultura para transmitir un discurso manipulado que intenta contar la verdad. Con este diccionario reflexiono sobre la separación y el encuentro que hay entre la lectura subjetiva y cultural de las imágenes, el valor transitorio de la verdad y la relación entre palabra e imagen como detonantes de un significado.
